Our
History
Novus Companies, an outgrowth of the need for real
estate management in the Brown & Sons Foodliner
chain of IGA grocery stores, can be traced back to P.N.
Browne Properties. P.N. Browne Properties had managed
and later converted several of these properties into
retail and office centers; in 1988 Novus Development,
currently Novus Companies, was established to undertake
larger projects. To that end, we have assembled a talented
staff of dedicated professionals who offer years of
experience and expertise in the areas of real estate,
site selection, land assemblage, project management,
fiscal projection, customer service and building maintenance.
Our ability to accomplish the entire development process
under one roof - from land acquisition through building
layout, construction, lease up and management - enables
us to evaluate opportunities and move quickly in an
environment where timing is often of critical importance.
Over the past ten years our projects have grown in size
and scope to include the 25 million dollar Kirkwood
Bend Office Development and the 29 million dollar Big
Bend Crossing Development for Sam's Wholesale Club and
the 11 million dollar development in Webster Groves,
our current home.
Our Philosophy
Novus' unique philosophy is built upon our goal of
owning and managing the properties we develop. Unlike
developers who complete one project, sell, and move
to the next; we are committed to the creation of permanent
assets for our portfolio. This approach is clearly reflected
in the classic architectural design and quality finish
of our buildings. Pride of ownership is manifest in
the high level of maintenance and tenant service we
deliver on a daily basis. We realize that in holding
property for the long run, success is measured not only
by bottom line results, but also by our positive contribution
to the surrounding area. This necessitates a high degree
of community involvement; Novus is a regular contributor
to local charities and an active participant in community
affairs.
